Belonging is only the beginning.
When young people feel connected, they thrive.
Today, that sense of connection is more important than ever. Across our communities, too many teens are experiencing loneliness and isolation.
Our proven programs are grounded in evidence and designed around the real needs of teens. Year after year, we see the impact of helping young people build strong connections and discover their strengths.
Through her Wyman experience, alum Jailyn found people who believe in her, a community where she belongs, and the confidence to step into new opportunities. For her, Wyman has been a constant source of growth and connection.
When young people know they belong, they begin to see new possibilities for themselves and their futures. Consider making a gift to help create spaces where young people build meaningful relationships, discover their strengths, know they matter, and find their path.

When I first joined Wyman Leaders, I thought it was just another college prep program. I didn’t expect it to feel like family. But that’s what it became. Through Wyman, I found supportive mentors, unforgettable friendships, and opportunities that helped me find my path. I graduated from high school in 2024 and now attend Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where I am majoring in Cybersecurity Technology and Information Technology with a minor in Business Administration. My favorite thing about college is finding different communities and opportunities. I am active in multiple student organizations and was selected for a competitive Information Technology internship my freshman year.
Wyman helped me learn how to speak up, get involved, and ask for help when I need it. It has been a constant source of growth and connection. If someone asked me today what Wyman is, I would say it helps young people prepare for their future, learn leadership skills, and create lasting connections that feel like gaining another family.
My story reflects what Wyman hears from so many young people: when they experience belonging, they begin to see new possibilities for themselves and their futures.
