Connection is our superpower.
Together, we are supporting teens as they discover their strengths, build lasting connections, and create the futures they envision.
Who believed in you when you were a teen? Who helped you discover your strengths and see your potential?
Think back to those pivotal moments – when a peer stood by you, or an adult believed in you – which gave you the confidence to face challenges.
For Wyman teens like Sandrea the people who made a difference were her Wyman coaches. Through her Wyman experiences and the relationships she formed, she discovered the person she wanted to be – the person her coaches knew she would be.
Teens are navigating an epidemic of isolation and social disconnection. It is a national crisis. They face intensifying mental health struggles, widening educational inequities, and a growing gap in the leadership and workforce skills needed to succeed. But there is hope, and you can help. Would you consider a gift to ensure programming for Wyman teens? Life changing connections – that’s what your gift makes possible.

I was introduced to Wyman in 6th grade and continued in Wyman programs throughout college. My journey was significantly shaped by the meaningful relationships I built at Wyman. I graduated from high school in 2020 and began college that fall – a time when all teens were faced with enormous challenges. But, with the support of Wyman, I overcame those challenges and earned my degree. My coach was right there supporting me the whole way. I considered dropping out, but my coach listened, cared, and connected me to the right resources – giving me the support I needed to persist.
I embraced communication, relationship building, leadership, and resilience – skills I learned at Wyman – that helped me excel in college and beyond. In 2024, I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) with a major in Corporate Communication and a double minor in Management and Marketing. Now, I’m working toward my master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at SEMO while serving as a Hall Director – helping young people who need guidance like I once did and making a difference in my community. Wyman saw my potential and now I’m helping others see and connect with theirs. Stories like mine are why Wyman exists and why we ask you to join us on this journey. Together, we are connecting teens to their voices, their strengths, and their futures.
