Note: This seasonal position is residential, requiring full time residence at Wyman’s 285+ acre campus in Eureka, MO, from late May through the month of June. Free room and board provided.
The Program Assistant is a seasonal member of the Wyman Leaders Program team and will be responsible for the daily supervision and support of summer staff and programming. This role is responsible for the creation, facilitation, and preparation of summer programs and activities throughout the summer.

This is an in-person day job position at Wyman’s 85-acre campus in Eureka, MO from mid-May to end of June.

Summer Camp Group Leaders are seasonal members of the Wyman Leaders Program team. As a group leader, you will stay in a cabin with 6-10 teens and are responsible for the daily supervision and support of teens, as well as creation and facilitation of programs and activities throughout the summer.

AmeriCorps VISTA: Digital Marketing and Communications VISTA
Wyman is seeking a Digital Marketing and Communications VISTA! This VISTA will develop the systems needed for effective digital marketing and communications, leading to attracting new donors and partners and retaining current donors and partners.
Note: This is a one-year, full-time opportunity. Please read below for details on the AmeriCorps VISTA program.
THE AMERICORPS VISTA PROGRAM:
AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program that helps communities fight poverty. VISTA members serve full-time for one year with nonprofit organizations and public agencies. Organizations recruit individuals directly to serve through their program.
PROJECT DETAILS:
The project will consist of conducting research and developing the systems and procedures for sustainable practices in the following areas: digital marketing, SEO, and communications data tracking and interpretation. As a result of the VISTA’s work, Wyman will be stronger due to a larger and more sustainable audience (which includes donors and partners). Sustainable and more effective digital marketing and communications will allow Wyman to attract new donors and partners, while continuing to engage current donors and partners. This increased capacity will allow Wyman to sustain and strengthen its programmatic offerings and support young people to positive outcomes that empower youth.

* VISTA members receive a living allowance bi-weekly by direct deposit from AmeriCorps. The current living allowance rate for Missouri is $68.39/day ($24,962.35/year).

How VISTA works

VISTA requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pass a criminal background check
- Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident Aliens and persons residing in a state that have the following legal residency classifications: refugee, asylum or asylee, temporary protected status, or deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) status.
Program Specialist, Teen Outreach Program (TOP) and Teen Connection Project (TCP)
The Program Specialist is a member of the Wyman TOP® and TCP® local program team and is responsible for effective implementation of TOP and TCP programming at the middle school and high school grade levels in the University City and Ferguson Florissant School Districts.
The Program Specialist implements the programs to participants with fidelity, consistent with the logic model and training; supports effective integration of the programs at the partner sites; is responsible for maintaining costs within the approved budget(s); and supports data collection, evaluation and continual quality improvement of the TOP and TCP programs.
Each week the Specialist will facilitate TOP clubs and TCP groups in-school at school partner sites, and will be responsible for utilizing Wyman’s Apricot database and program trackers for all program data, including continuous documentation of services. During the summers, when TOP and TCP is not facilitated, this role will support programming for the Wyman Leaders program team.
Qualified individuals will have a Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Additionally, 2-4 years of youth program delivery within a school setting is preferred (minimum of 1 year required).

Camp Wyman Experiences (CWE) Team Member
Join our team! The Camp Wyman Experiences (CWE) Team Member is a part-time seasonal member of the Camp Wyman Experiences Team who ensures that guests and spaces are cared for properly. Team Members play a key role in supporting Wyman’s mission by creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for all guests.
The duties may include overseeing site management by monitoring a group, addressing their requests, and ensuring their needs are met. This also includes kitchen responsibilities, such as preparing and cooking nutritious meals for various groups and ensuring compliance with health regulations and food service standards. Additionally, housekeeping duties across the campus are required, including cleaning buildings, organizing laundry, and performing routine maintenance. Overall, the duties combine site management, kitchen operations, and facilities upkeep to maintain high standards across the entire campus.
Hours can typically be up to 30 per week during the summer and fall, with varying hours for winter and spring.
