The Wyman Leaders Program Director is responsible for full oversight, leadership, and ongoing development of the Wyman Leaders program. This position leads with a commitment to Wyman’s values of centering youth, relationships, learning, and results, and champions Wyman’s commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion.
The Director reports to Wyman’s Senior Director of Programs. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training and leading a staff team; quality implementation of Wyman Leaders in accordance with program standards; managing program within an agreed upon budget; overseeing all evaluation and reporting requirements; and building and maintaining productive, professional working relationships with program partners and agency staff.
Qualified individuals will have a Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred), 2-4 years minimum of post-secondary access and/or leadership programming experience, and 2-4 years minimum of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter possessing leadership, delegation, and team building skills with success in coaching and developing staff and will be knowledgeable of post-secondary access and success programs and leadership programming, curricula, methods and techniques.

Location: This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, meaning that this position may work primarily offsite (but can be officed in Eureka if preferred). This position must be available for in-person meetings with colleagues and youth, unless CDC and public health guidelines cannot be met. Works within normal office conditions as well as in a camp environment during the summer. Additional work locations include work at partner sites, program sites, and in the community occurs regularly. Limited travel in and out of state by car or airplane may be necessary.
