High School Coach

The High School Coach is a member of the Wyman Leaders Program Team and is responsible for leading the success of a cluster of 30-40 Scholars. The Coach operates from an academic and educational lens in their work with the team, teachers and parents to implement academic interventions that differentiate instruction based on scholar need. A High School Coach drives scholar success by empowering each scholar to achieve academic, leadership, and social/emotional excellence by providing ongoing academic advising, mentorship, connections to resources and opportunities including supplemental academic enrichment and support for scholars with academic challenges, tutoring supports, self-advocacy development, college, post-secondary and career counseling, community building opportunities, and leadership development.

Each year, the ultimate goal of a High School Coach is for their scholars to advance to the next grade level having achieved a 3.2 grade point average, emerged as a leader in their school and community, and realized their fullest potential and personal vision.

Qualified individuals will have a Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related field and preferably 2-4 years of relevant experience.
