Location: These positions are residential, requiring full time residence at Wyman’s 285+ acre campus in Eureka, MO from May 24 to July 29. Free room and board provided.

Summer Camp Group Leaders are seasonal members of the Wyman Leaders Program team. As a group leader, you will stay in a cabin with 6-10 teens and are responsible for the daily supervision and support of teens, as well as creation and facilitation of programs and activities throughout the summer.

Wyman is seeking an administrative assistant to support the efficient operation of Wyman’s Camp Wyman Experiences (CWE) and Administration teams by performing clerical and administrative duties. This role is part time and offers 20 hours per week, approximately 15 hours for CWE and approximately 5 hours for Administration. There is an option to work a portion of the hours remote after introductory onboarding period.

This role provides practical, operational support to enhance team functions, including documentation of processes and procedures, review and collection of aged receivables, correspondence with Camp Wyman Experiences customers, maintenance of filing systems, maintenance of office equipment, and organization of the administrative office building. The administrative assistant will assist with the collection, distribution, and storage of Wyman assets (equipment, office furniture) and will support preparation for quarterly board meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of organizational ability. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered. Experience with accounting/aged receivables is desirable. Reliable transportation is required for periodic errands such as mailing and supplies purchases.

College Tour and Senior Retreat Group Leaders support the summer component on the Wyman Leaders Program through programming centered in career and postsecondary exploration and preparation, financial literacy, community service learning, and leadership and professional skills.

Note: This role requires travel and overnight stays during an 8-day,7-night regional post-secondary tour for rising high school juniors and a 7- day, 6-night campus immersion experience for rising high school seniors. This position includes training in late May through early June; trips occur through the end of June. 

Applicants must have at least 1 year completed toward a post-secondary degree or certificate.

Location: Brittany Woods Middle School

Join our team! Wyman is looking for a committed, youth-focused individual who is excited about providing social and emotional learning support to middle school teens in a school environment.

Wyman’s nationally recognized Teen Outreach Program features community service learning, which helps teens build skills, develop a positive sense of self, and make connections to their world. As a result, TOP specialists empower teens to build educational success, life and leadership skills, and healthy behaviors and relationships to help them thrive. The program is supported by Wyman’s Research and Learning team, which ensures the program is utilizing the latest research in youth development best practices, and high quality program evaluation.

TOP Specialists implement the program consistent with the best practice “Wyman Teen Outreach Program” approach; directly implements the program to assigned students; supports effective integration of the program into the partner site; coordinates quality integration of community service learning opportunities; is responsible for maintaining costs within the approved site budget(s); and supports the evaluation and continual quality improvement of the program.

Qualified individuals will have a Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Additionally, 2-4 years of youth program delivery within a school setting is preferred (minimum of 1 year required).

Wyman is seeking Camp Nurses for our summer 2024 camp sessions! Camp nurses are responsible for the overall wellbeing of campers and staff during summer camp. 

 

Hours are available between 8:00am and 10:00pm, Monday-Sunday throughout Wyman Leaders Program summer sessions (May 24, 2024- July 29, 2024).

 

The ideal candidates will have current licensure in the state of Missouri as an RN, LPN, paramedic, EMT or physician’s assistant (RN licensing preferred). A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in direct healthcare service environments is required; experience working with youth strongly preferred.

Join our team and spend your summer outdoors with Wyman youth! Trek Instructors are seasonal members of the Wyman Leaders Program. Instructors are trained to lead 4-9 day camping trips (“treks”), trek prep sessions, and adventure activities such as hiking and canoeing. 

Note: A lifeguarding class will be provided for those who are interested in this role but not yet certified.

The Teen Support Leader is a seasonal, supervisory member of the Wyman Leaders Program team. They are responsible for proactively establishing strong, positive relationships with teens, as well as serving as a resource for seasonal program staff during camp and trek sessions.

Position Summary: During the Vended Services programming season (Spring-Fall), the Program Facilitator implements quality youth programming, which includes school camps, community-based programs, and support of the Wyman Leaders program on an “As Needed” basis. Most work will be onsite in Eureka. Occasionally, could be requested to work off site at various locations.

Position Summary: This role is a part time member of Wyman’s Camp Services team and will have split duties including food services and facilities housekeeping. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking quality nutritious meals for school camp groups, hospitality groups, development/fundraising events, summer camp groups, and staff as needed. Additionally, this role supports basic and routine deep cleaning of facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for visitors, youth and team members.
